Andrea Subissati is an artisan, sociologist and writer on cultural studies and the horror film genre.
In 2007 she started undeadclothingco, a small business devoted to resisting uniformity through handmade items. Her inclination toward the macabre is reflected in her work and her obsession with practicality gives each piece a usefulness all its own. Undeadclothing products have been sold on etsy.com and at various local craft sales in Ottawa and Toronto, Ontario.
In 2010, her Masters thesis was published under the title When There’s No More Room in Hell: The Sociology of the Living Dead which is available for sale on Amazon.com. The book has been reviewed in Rue Morgue and Fangoria magazines, and Andrea has made appearances on Rue Morgue’s blog and podcast. She currently working on contributions to a number of horror publications.
Andrea lives and works out of Toronto, Ontario. She continues to explore her passion for all things dark and when she is not hunched over her sewing machine, she can be found playing roller derby for the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad.
